The actions of the employer are illegal. This case is absolutely a sign of repression. Bartosz Kantorczyk is a well-know trade union activist who have demanded respect for workers and unionist rights. He was of great importance when there was a dispute between the workers and the employer in November 2006. He was a member of the striking comitee and was chosen by the work crew. There was a wide publicity in local and national press on his actions. Also other activists were theatened by the management of Polish Post. They were threatened with sacking, and that was because of the fact that they were supporting the previous protest and were demanding respect for workers rights and meeting demands of the strike.

Trade Union Wokrers' Initiative demands an immediate action of the Polish Post management to move Bartosz Kantorczyk back to the post office he worked in and we are announcing that we will make protest pickets in Gadansk, Poznan, Warsaw and other towns.
